Southwark Council Goes Live With StarGo

We are delighted to share that Southwark Council is now live with StarGo, our end-to-end highways licensing solution. StarGo went live on December 1st and now streamlines the application, payment, and approval processes for Southwark’s highway licences and permits, including skips, scaffolding, hoardings and TTROs.

Immediate Benefits for Staff and Applicants

“At Southwark, we have achieved significant time savings by processing licences through StarGo. This has allowed us to dedicate more time to on-street activities rather than administrative tasks. Applicants are experiencing faster licence processing, which improves efficiency for everyone involved. Transitioning from a manual process to StarGo has streamlined our operations, delivering better outcomes for the Council, our residents, and local businesses.” said Craig Taylor, Highways Licensing and Enforcement Manager at Southwark.

How StarGo Streamlines Licensing

How StarGo is streamlining Southwark’s highway licensing application processes:

  • Seamless online applications – Residents and businesses can apply, pay, and track their skip licences through a single, user-friendly portal.
  • Fast approvals – Council staff can review and approve applications at the click of a button via the back-office management portal.
  • Automatic integration – Application details are automatically uploaded to the DfT Street Manager system, ensuring smooth data transfer and compliance.

Polaris’ Commitment to Efficiency

Matt Goodstadt, Chief Revenue Officer at Polaris Software, added: “It’s fantastic to have Southwark up and running with StarGo. At Polaris, our solutions are designed to improve efficiency, minimise complexities and reduce the potential for revenue loss. It’s great to hear that Southwark are already experiencing the benefits of StarGo. We are looking forward to supporting them for many years to come.”
